Prakruti represents your unique physical and mental constitution established at the moment of conception.
While this baseline remains constant throughout your life, your internal environment shifts constantly based on your diet, sleep, and surroundings.
I want to show you how to move beyond static definitions of health so you can respond to these shifts with precision and ease.
Your Prakruti acts as a personal blueprint that dictates how your body processes food, manages stress, and maintains energy. I view this constitution as a set of natural tendencies rather than a restrictive box that limits your potential. You might have a dominant Vata, Pitta, or Kapha nature, but these elements interact in ways that are specific only to you.
Knowing your Prakruti helps you understand why some foods make you feel light while others leave you sluggish. It explains why you might thrive in warm weather or feel depleted when the wind picks up. This knowledge provides a baseline for comparison when you start to feel out of sync with your normal self.
I find that most people focus too much on their label and forget to observe their current state of being. Your Prakruti is the destination you aim for when things get off track. It serves as a compass rather than a rigid set of instructions for every minute of your day.
Balancing your nature requires you to pay attention to the small signals your body sends every morning. I suggest starting your day by checking your tongue and your digestion before you reach for your coffee or breakfast. These indicators tell you which dosha might be slightly elevated so you can adjust your choices immediately.
When the air is cold and dry, you need warm, oily foods to ground your Vata energy. If you feel a surge of heat or irritability, you might opt for cooling bitter greens and more rest to soothe Pitta. These small pivots keep your internal state stable despite the chaos of your external schedule.
"True health occurs when you stop fighting your natural tendencies and start working with the rhythms of your own biology."
Adaptability is the most important skill you can develop in your wellness practice. I see many people fail because they try to force a routine that worked last month into a season where it no longer fits. You must be willing to change your habits as often as the world around you changes.
Strict protocols often create more stress than they solve because they ignore the reality of human life. If you follow a diet plan that says you must eat raw salads, but you have a cold Vata digestion, you will likely feel bloated and anxious. I believe that forcing your body to adhere to a generic list of rules causes a disconnect between your mind and your physical needs.
Rules create a sense of failure when life gets in the way of your perfect morning routine. Your body is a dynamic system that requires different inputs depending on your stress levels and workload. A rigid mindset prevents you from hearing the subtle cues that tell you when you need more protein or extra sleep.
I encourage my clients to think of Ayurveda as a conversation rather than a lecture. You provide an input, like a specific meal or a type of exercise, and then you listen to how your body responds. This feedback loop is much more valuable than any static list of do's and don'ts found in a textbook.
I help you decode the signals your body sends so you can find a rhythm that feels natural.
My approach focuses on practical shifts that fit into your actual daily life without adding more stress.
